About

Robert Gamperl is a Director of Photography who believes that teamwork and understanding the director's vision are key to creating great films. Having been a professional football player, Robert knows how to fit into any team and prioritizes the group's success over personal recognition. His sports background has taught him to be a real team player. Robert's mix of athletic discipline and creative thinking makes him a dependable and adaptable professional in cinematography. He has deepened his knowledge of film through various courses with industry professionals, including the American Society of Cinematographers. As a big fan of the classic Western Movie and Film Noir style, he values authentic, handcrafted scenes over overly artificial images.

Work Philosophy

For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by storytelling. There's something special about how a story can come to life on screen, going beyond time and place to touch our hearts. I love telling stories through cinematography because I believe that every frame, angle, and change in light can show emotions that words sometimes can't express.

As a child, I found comfort and adventure in watching movies. They became my way of seeing the world, showing me different lives and places. Movies taught me empathy, resilience, and the beauty of diversity. Realizing that I could create these experiences for others was very inspiring. I wanted to tell stories that people could relate to, find comfort in, and that could change their views.

You can count on me to be reliable and professional throughout the filming process. I understand the importance of meeting deadlines and being flexible, especially when filming outdoors. My goal is to make your production as smooth and successful as possible, from the first shot to the final cut.
